Flex Lewis se retrage din culturism dupa Mr Olympia 2018

Intr-o postare publicata pe pagina sa de instagram, Flex Lewis a anuntat ca se retrage din culturism dupa Mr Olympia 2018.

Pentru cine nu stie: Flex Lewis este un cunoscut culturist international, castigatorul a 6 titluri de campion Mr Olympia, categoria 212 lbs. Acesta are 1.66 m inaltime si in forma de concurs cantareste aproximativ 95 de kg. Fizicul sau este atat de dominant incat au existat pentru multi ani zvonuri ca Flex va incepe sa concureze la categoria open, impotriva gigantilor precum Phill Heath, intrucat la categoria actuala unde concureaza acesta pur si simplu nu are adversar.

Ar fi fost foarte interesant sa vedem campionul de la 212 luptand impotriva campionului de la open, Phill Heath, insa judecand dupa postarea de pe instagram a lui Flex, putem sa spunem cu certitudine ca acesta se retrage definitiv din culturism dupa concursul de anul acesta. I will be finishing with my last 212lb show at this years 2018 @mrolympiallc – I won’t lie and say this was easy, I have battled the fact that this will be my last show many times, I went through some very tough times, and being transparent depression, I kept this all to myself, never let a sole in, I suffered massive highs and very low lows, still trying to comprehend last years loss of Dallas and then make this decision the beginning of this year- after months of battling this whilst, still acting walking talking all around the world as a Champion, I can now say I am VERY at peace with my decision. – Without my family, my team, coach and certain people, I wouldn’t be were I am today! – At one point I was very lost on direction, but I know in my heart this is the best for me, my family and the evolution of what and where I go next. – I love this sport and I love being the humble, driven, blue color, peoples Champion, I know I will give that fan at the end the same energy as the one at the front, why as I love it! I fucking love all you guys, that’s not cliche it’s the truth, I’ve been given the opportunity by the IFBB pro league to take this sport all over the world and I have, from mainstream tv to things in countries unseen. Noi credem ca acesta decizie vine dupa moartea bunului sau prieten Dallas, anul trecut. Multi critici spun insa ca motivul pentru care F. Lewis se retrage consta in dorinta de a nu-si pata recordul, acesta isi doreste sa se retraga cand inca este in glorie si nu a pierdut niciodata un concurs de Mr Olympia. Voi ce credeti? Va asteptam parerile in comentarii!

UPDATE! Antrenorul lui Flex Lewis a anuntat ca acesta NU SE RETRAGE DIN CULTURISMUL COMPETITIONAL, ci doar ia o pauza pentru a se pregati de o noua provocare: Men’s Open Bodybuilder! Neil Yoda (antrenorul lui Flex) ne explica de ce nu mai are sens pentru Flex sa continue sa participe la categoria 212, unde deja a doborat toate recordurile si nu a avut niciodata o competitie care sa se ridice la nivelul lui. Conform spuselor acestuia, este posibil sa-l vedem pe Flex participand la aceasta noua categorie chiar in anul 2020!
